We're looking for an organized, efficient, and friendly Registration and Check-In Coordinator who loves people and meeting the needs of the community.

This position is located in the greater New Orleans metropolitan area in Marrero, LA.

May qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) or other programs for student loan debt Continuing education opportunities Free, nearby parking Tobacco-free environment Filtered water stations Responsibilities Welcoming and checking in patients, including verifying personal and insurance information Collecting consent forms, photo identification, and demographic information Assisting patients in scheduling appointments and coordinating with healthcare providers Verifying insurance coverage, obtaining authorizations, and explaining benefits and coverage to patients Assisting with administrative tasks, such as filing documents, organizing paperwork, maintaining office supplies, etc.
Working as team player with other staff Meeting needs of patients and completing warm hand-offs to support staff Working independently to schedule patients and seeking consult for complex cases Attending meeting and morning huddles as assigned Qualifications & Skills Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish) At least a high school diploma or GED Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Calm, professional attitude at all times (even during stressful situations) High level of ethics and ability to maintain patient confidentiality Ability to multitask Strong memory and concentration skills Creative problem-solver Patience Ability to make good judgments One year of experience in documenting information in an electronic health record and verifying insurance benefits One year of experience scheduling appointments, collecting, and recording demographic information Experience working in primary care or behavioral health provider's office is a plus Contact Put your skills to work for the greater good.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
